Anyone else want to out themselves as suffering arsegrapes in the satchel-flasher thread? All the cool kids are doing it.
I hear the next big thing will be people will be revealing their hernias in the any questions thread.

Yep...I've got the Note Sleeve as my day to day wallet and just picked up an Elements Phone Pocket for when I'm out on the bike (got fed up of needing to find sandwich bags if it looked likely to rain!).
Would highly recommend, have just bought from bellroy.com each time. Super fast, free delivery.

Won Bellroy Elements Phone pouch on ebay for £40, really nice. Similar price as rapha case but waterproof and has nice compartments inside. Wouldnt fit my phone (Wileyfox Swift) but can fit iPhone 5/5s/SE.

Surprised by the number of people carrying knives! I know I take one when I go walking/hiking/touring but rarely encounter situations in city like that would be helped with a sharp pointy thing... what are they for?

Was just about to say the very same...
Knife carrying in London can>>>>>>>>>>>>> -
• #444
I have carried a knife daily for several years, and aways will. I have no intention of using it for self protection, or as an offensive weapon. Normally it is on a leatherman tool, but I also have a tiny little sheffield folding knife. I don't know what the fuss is about, it is people using them as stabbing tools that can do one.
Knives are tools. -

Looking cool when you post a photo in an EDC thread
-

My question really is just what are people using them for in London? Opening particularly tricky Pret wraps? On-the-go beard trimming?
-
• #447
I suspect this is the reason.
If you need an edge at work then fair enough but in that case it lives in your kit bag/toolbox, not your pocket... -

90% of the use of mine is opening/breaking down boxes and cutting/trimming zip ties. I do this regularly enough that getting a knife made sense to me becuase i was fed up with constantly using my keys or trying to find a pair of sissors.
I also specifically bought a knife that had a disposable blade so If I went out after work or something and forgot it was in my pocket, I could throw the blade away and not worry about being in trouble.I dont carry it at all at weekends either, just to and from work every day.
@edmundro I dont have a tool bag, hence why it lives in my pocket, along with my torch and pen. I made note of things I needed to use regularly, and bought small ones to put in my pockets. I dont think its that mad really. If i needed screwdrivers often I'd probably get a small one with changable tips I could pocket too, or a leatherman maybe.
the only reason I carry anything in my pockets is becuase I use it enough to warrent it being there. -

Seems reasonable, I was just surprised by the number of knives in people's pics...
