looking to get the T, which has the extra lumens, rather than the dimmed for german roads R version.

The T doesn't have extra lumens (that's the premium version, definitely get that), it's the Licht24 version that has some extra low power LEDs under the main light that it runs during the daytime. In senso mode (S on the switch) it will switch between the daylight 'being seen' mode and the night 'seeing the road' mode.

I wouldn't get the R version, you don't get the beam cast into the distance as much, otherwise good. Premium is definitely worthwhile. I've just bought an IQ-X (not fitted yet, review to come) from Bike24 for a good price, looks to be awesome.
