What would cycle training do when someone steps out in front of me when they shouldn't?
It's a standard response on here to any accident but it may teach you:-
- to anticipate that such things can occur and to moderate your speed/positioning accordingly. Yes, this can mean not going as fast as you'd like, but it may help you avoid future incidents.
- correct braking technique (body positioning especially) so you don't lock up and therefore stop in a shorter distance.
- many other useful things you may not realise you needed to know.
