Which 100 course is faster the E2 or the Stockton course? Presumably their course will now be 101 miles... just in case :)
-
• #12279
Consistently, E2 I reckon. Bit of a freak day last year.
-
• #12280
Yeah, they're fast B roads. I use that road to do my road efforts on.
Might lose a few seconds through Newport, then at the roundabout to saffron walden, but otherwise it's clear. However, it is exposed. -
• #12281
I'll enter the E2 then.
What was the course you rode last year that was quick? Etwall? Is that A100? -
• #12282
Yeah, it seemed windy in both directions on the 25 but still posted a good time so a 100 on similar roads should suit me. Possibly less lumpy than H100 as well which helps my fat arse. And I've ridden the H100/A31 LOTS already with two 12s, 100s each year, 50, 25s, etc.
-
• #12283
Yeah Etwall. Definitely the fastest course.
-
• #12284
Seeming windy in both directions = fast.
-
• #12285
Big gap between them so I guess I'll enter the E2 and then see if I can still be arsed when Etwall is run and have a crack at the club record then. Cheers.
I need to take a good 7-8 minutes off my PB to nail this: 03:45:48
-
• #12286
No, zero wind = fast.
The 30 mile on those roads last year was super calm and I would've likely done a 30mph 25 if it was the 5 miles shorter..
-
• #12287
I did 3:49 off 215w. You'd easily beat that.
-
• #12288
It's the days that you think it seems windy and hard slog in both directions that the conditions are fast.
-
• #12289
Was that more of less power than at the Hounslow? What time did you do at Hounslow? 4:01?
-
• #12290
That may be the case, but the conditions were faster for the 30 when it was super calm.
-
• #12291
H100/88 - 4:00:11 228w (cracked in final hour)
R100/8a - 4:00:56 249w (but not too sure about that figure)
A100/4 - 3:49:43 213w (skewed down a bit cos of being a bit undergeared on long fast sections) -
• #12292
Yeah, were in a circle now.
Somone find me someone willing to sell their Trek Speed Concept in M. That isn't too far from london area.
Also need a clincher disc.I must beat hippy.
-
• #12293
10 minutes faster for 15W less power? Erm... yeah, I'll take that.
-
• #12294
Weather for both events:

I think the Comp Record 30 was set last year, along with tonnes of club records.Good luck.
All you need to do is ride faster than 03:45:47, because that's what I'll be aiming for. -
• #12295
No idea what time I could ride. I'll just ride to power.
And I just say it's the days that feel windy both ways, because they're actually very little wind, you just think it's hard slog. So agreeing, just a sensation.
-
• #12296
Have you got a time to get into the E2/100? (LTS for E2 vs this and last year for the national) Not impossible that it is a full field.
-
• #12297
No, I read that it hasn't had a closing time past few years, so there is hope?
I can only use a 25 time really, not that that counts.I'll be in a ECCA club, so maybe that will help.

• #12298
I thought it was full last year? http://www.timetriallingforum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=101453

Because everyone was clamoring to ride a 99mi long 100 mile TT? :)

Cock.
This is turning out to be a pain already.
Closing date is 14th June, no?
