As I was washing up the breakfast things this morning, there was a massive bang as Jack came through the cat flap at full tilt. I thought he'd been chased by the large black cat who lives 2 doors down, but looked out the window to see a fox stood there. I presume Jack got a bit too close to the den (which had 5 cubs in last week) for mother fox's liking.
Fair play to Jack though, he was straight back outside once she'd gone over the fence.
My cats have a weird sort of relationship with the fox. They occasionally chase it off, but most of the time both parties just sit in the sunshine keeping one eye open.
