congrats @i_am_lono , nice work - also liked the other ones you didn't choose to enter.
Edit: PS can't believe none of you punks voted for my OV-fiets. Total BS.

I know where you're coming from. I fear if I had gained a vote, it may have only been out of sympathy. Ain't nobody got time fo' that!
My photos are clearly too real. Or my camera's broken. Obviously, it must be one of those two options...
Cheers for the thought @thross. And respect to @skydancer!
ps. Congratulations indeed to @i_am_lono! A worthy winner!

Thanks @mi7rennie, @greeno, @f1s et al, chuffed to have won. Think the comp's great for trying new things and testing the creative juices.
Had a tough time thinking of an appropriate theme for this week, vascillating between abstract ones and more standard "assignment" type ones. I'm a self-confessed geometry nerd and composition is so crucial to my own work, so I've settled on something that informs all photography; what we choose to exclude from an image is often as important as what we include, so this week's theme is:
Good luck all, each week's getting better; we're building an eclectic repository of great LFGSS images.

Would have got my vote, had I looked at this thread before the cut off

Rep to @skydancer for the "week of drems" pun.
Glad to know I'm not taking sympathy and the bum wiping is a treat.
This thread keeps on giving.
Well done @i_am_lono, love the shot and love the new theme. Composition and geometry are vital and so much fun.

Uploaded @i_am_lono 's winning post to the OP, seems like we have a trend for underground car parks being popular winners.
-
• #1158
:) noticed that too.. almost identical shots as the architecture one.. i will get one for the current geometry theme just in case :)

Thanks!

Ha, I had totally forgotten @Vesalius's winner from week one. Or was subliminally influenced.. I did get a few odd glances from folk watching me kick ice balls around a car-park for an hour or so.

Came across this Slate wall on the maida vale everyman cinema on my way home this evening. Loved the weathered textures.

A buffed tag on a window at Myrtle & Wyckoff station Queens
Wyckoff Avenue is named for a Dutch family that first arrived in Brooklyn in the 1650s. the house of the first Wyckoff in Brooklyn — Pieter Claesen Wyckoff, first built in 1652– still stands at Clarendon Road and Ralph Avenue in East Flatbush and has been preserved as a museum."myrtle & wyckoff buffed"

'White Van'
Based on the massive success of car park based photography by @Vesalius and @i_am_lono, I went to find a car park and see if I could channel power of concrete to produce something to take home some silverware.

But yours is dirty and has curves. Clean straight concrete, that's what we're voting for. :)

Nice. White van positioning is particularly pleasing.

I love this! The lines are almost confusing. It creates a sort of collage effect. Big fan!

@Airhead there are other carparks for me to visit, maybe next week I'll do a clean one.
@i_am_lono, thanks man.
@Tomo187, I was liking the diagonal of the multi story building vs the slope of the top of the car park, not sure if that is a compositional 'thing' but worked for me.
And we have a winner @i_am_lono, great shot and chapeau for making the effort to actually come up with a concept, make the ice balls and do the shoot. Top marks for effort from me (I voted for you).
I look forward to your theme.
