My photos are clearly too real. Or my camera's broken. Obviously, it must be one of those two options...

Had a tough time thinking of an appropriate theme for this week, vascillating between abstract ones and more standard "assignment" type ones. I'm a self-confessed geometry nerd and composition is so crucial to my own work, so I've settled on something that informs all photography; what we choose to exclude from an image is often as important as what we include, so this week's theme is:

Ha, I had totally forgotten @Vesalius's winner from week one. Or was subliminally influenced.. I did get a few odd glances from folk watching me kick ice balls around a car-park for an hour or so.

Came across this Slate wall on the maida vale everyman cinema on my way home this evening. Loved the weathered textures.

Wyckoff Avenue is named for a Dutch family that first arrived in Brooklyn in the 1650s. the house of the first Wyckoff in Brooklyn — Pieter Claesen Wyckoff, first built in 1652– still stands at Clarendon Road and Ralph Avenue in East Flatbush and has been preserved as a museum.

Based on the massive success of car park based photography by @Vesalius and @i_am_lono, I went to find a car park and see if I could channel power of concrete to produce something to take home some silverware.

But yours is dirty and has curves. Clean straight concrete, that's what we're voting for. :)

Nice. White van positioning is particularly pleasing.

I love this! The lines are almost confusing. It creates a sort of collage effect. Big fan!

@Airhead there are other carparks for me to visit, maybe next week I'll do a clean one.

@Tomo187, I was liking the diagonal of the multi story building vs the slope of the top of the car park, not sure if that is a compositional 'thing' but worked for me.
