Nice cross reference with Strava!. That was indeed us. Where did you see us @7VEN ?
We had an epic fail just before beddlestead, chain sucked and wrapped inside the chainstay. Took 20 minutes of grunting to get it back. Poor chainstay took a beating :*(

Ah, yes, must have been you! Was just before Well Wood on the lower part of Layhams (you were on the way dowy/I was on the way up) Your stoker looked like the happiest girl in the world, such was the huge grin on her face.

We passed the tandem maintenance session. Was going to stop but there seemed to be enough of you who knew what you were doing. Sorry if you could have done with an extra pair of hands.
-
• #73756
Yeah? Awesome! Must have been the knowledge that the worst was over and it was downhill the whole way home.
-
• #73757
Not to worry. We managed just fine. Looks like Layhams was a popular choice for lfgss yesterday

Yeah, stopped to enjoy the view of the City at the top of Beddlestead Lane and a car slowed to a stop then reversed back while opening the driver window. Thought pessimistically that it was going to be someone giving off about all the cyclists but instead they said, "I saw the singlespeed jersey and had to stop to say hello. Nice to see the jersey out and about."
In hindsight, there was very little driver aggro yesterday.

Indeed. Although in general we pretty much get zero aggro on the tandem anyway. Always thumbs up and generally happy vibes.

Two last night, I don't get out much. Nods and smiles.
6-ish. Thornhill Rd - near Albion - bloke with London cap
7:30ish. Danbury St - you popped out from the canal, I was taking my mate out for a ride around the block after fixing up her bike.
Such a lovely evening for a ride. -

Hi, sorry, slow recognition. At first I thought, that guy looks like dbr, then realised it was you.

I never post on here since I am rarely central / sarf enough to be spotted, but had 3 Fly-bys of potential forumengers within about 10 min from 6:25 this evening. First brown wooly cycling cap in messenger mode gave me a little chapeau as he passed while I struggled to lug a cast iron sewer cover in one hand while cycling. Second a possible forumenger in commuter mode in full Systeme U / super U kit (I have the cap and have been looking for the Jersey!). thirdly a passing dude in flattop mode casually coasting on a Dolan - pre cursa or track champ (like mine), I couldn't tell.
Apologies to all for the crime against humanity that is my front red tyre! đ -

You have a bike doppelgänger then, with a build that looks very similar to the one you posted in current projects :)
