does a garmin translate .gpx on its own to .tcx if i feed the data to the "new files" folder ?

No , it changes gpx or tcx files to fit files and moves them to the courses folder if they are gpx/tcx, routes or tracks.. This is if you are referring to the edge series. Some other garmin devices retain the gpx file format.

yes, its the edge520. i am just curious if it will work if i just drop the .gpx file into new files folder ?
