Wee hands. And I'm so used to Campag that trying to switch between the two fries my brain.
Did a DIY bike fit yesterday and put layback seatpost/longer stem on which will hopefully help with the horrible numb hands I was getting.
Also, for those with 23mm rims. Do you ever get a really horrible 'crawly' feeling from your tyres like there's too much traction? Was getting that yesterday and don't know if it's because shitty 25mm Contis come up so small that they don't like the wider rims. I was running at 85 psi front and rear so don't think the pressure was an issue but it almost felt like that flat-tyre understeering.
Finally had my first spin on the CAAD10.
Is nice. Wasn't very pricey. Have tarted it up with some jazzier cables and bartape. Probably going to sharpie out the logos cos I'm ghetto like that.
Feels stiff as a very stiff thing even coming from a Ti frame, and very much liking having racier geometry again-feeling better spread out and more aeroz.
Could really do with a carbon post to try and suck up some more of the road noise but the dt swiss 460s paired with gp4000s make it a lot comfier than I'd expected. Definitely brings out your inner weenie though as I'm looking at my chunky Athena components and wishing they were more anorexic.
Still, I tried going to Shimano last year and it just boiled my piss for a few weeks then I sacked it off, and there aint no way I can afford super record so I guess it'll do for now and my main priority will be an extra few teeth on the 25t cassette which was fine with compact but feels a bit serious with the 53t up front.
