hippy was probably out riding his bike or drinking beer or both. He usually catches up on race videos in the evening and avoids this thread for fear of spoilers.

Sagan does an E.T.
Photo of the race for me.

Incredible how he kept going after that jump, his chain is all over the place!

Can't wait for a slo-mo on youtube... but I'm pretty sure I saw Sags do a wheelie-bunnyhop-to-endo to avoid it. He only lost points on his line after the jump, rolling onto grass.

I dunno, he's being very jocular on Twatter so I'm guessing something's afoot...

Wait I was wrong... even better... he pushes the bike down with his foot maybe?

How can the UCI be so arse-less about this? How many more incidents before a change?

Is Hippy going to do that thing where he comes on in the evening and replies to every post from the past 12 hours individually?

...while drunk?

I think the moto crash was after Mitch Docker's crash and there are pics of him absolutely covered in blood from a head or face wound. Grim

Caught last 14km in pub on phoneurosport using their wifi, muted sound. Last few km were gripping and I'm going to enjoy watching it again with sound sometime soon.

I loved the 'me? I won? really?' look on his face. Much deserved win, too bad about all the riders on the ground but if there's one race that is seldom without multiple crashes it's this one. Monumental edition

Still buzzing from that amazing race, very deserved winner. With the notable exceptions of Sagan and Canc it was such an elite, tough group that formed at the head of the race. I had a feeling about Hayman, such a smooth rider over cobbles. I remember the year he got into the break for Sky, 2013 I think, and he just looked so good, but he didn't have the team behind him. Geraint crashed and it was all that she wrote, but he showed today what he could do, finally at 35! I said earlier today Sky should have built their classics squad around him.
I wonder what might have happened without the crashes, Sky looked insanely strong before two riders went down, and then the Canc crash effectively took out both him and Sagan out of the reckoning, but then that's racing. Farewell the cobbles, I'll miss ya

Matt Hayman is 37, doing it for all the older guys. ;)
Oops, my bad! Still an astonishing win, 100 odd km on the front, I'm just bitter that he beat Boonen
