IME they are total crap, getting the fuckers open to change the battery is also a massive ballache...
You should be able to find a cheap Boss, MXR, EHX or something similar on Gumtree...

There are loads of great OD and distortion pedals available for peanuts these days, courtesy of our friends in China. Mainly clones of boutique designs, so as long as you don't mind this, fill yr boots.
+1 for Joyo, I have a couple of theirs and they sound great.

Hey dudes, does anyone have any experience of Behringer products, specifically their various distortion pedals? I'm keen to get something (currently got no pedals) but Behringer are cheap, are they crappy too? Build quality is no issue, it's for home use, not stomping on
