  • I have a plan, there are 78 active breweries in London, I will try to have at least 1 (or more) beers from every single one of these. No specific time limit yet, any tips/ridiculing welcome!

  • Remember to have a pint of water between every beer

  • good tip, this will be spread over however many weekends/weeks/months it takes btw

  • Use untappd if you haven't already got it to track your progress

  • I'm in Belgium. Belgian beer isn't my favourite, but I like the darker, syrupy ones like Rochefort 10. Will see what I can find here. Had my first ever bottle of Orval which was nice.

  • from this pic I think you've had enough..

  • I think I could enter a phase of tea / flower based beers. Bit like the low strength, or green can ipa epics.

The lunchtime one would've been pints if I wasn't busy. Hoping to get taken there (Old Hall, Chinley) again Sunday no driving. They had a Belgian bottle list too...

  • Nice. Tea beer is the new DIPA.

    Until noon tomorrow that is.

  • Today I've also had Theakstons Lightfoot & Beavertown Blood Orange can.

  • thanks, just got the app, looks good

  • Had the Cloudwater DIPAv3 last night. Was very nice, good tropical hop flavours but not as good as v1. Did not taste like it was 9%.

Rodabod get some flandrian bruins in you

  • Cloudwater DIPAv3

I haz 1 bottle will drink this week.

  • Cheers, will keep an eye out for it. Will be watching Paris-Roubaix tomorrow.

    LOL at Orval!

  • Stumbled on the release of Brewdogs latest born to die earlier this evening. A nice IPA but I almost knew what it'd taste like before I tried it. They're super consistent and always a safe bet but there's something that doesn't quite get me as excited about Brewdogs beers as a few other breweries

  • Damn it! These are on at a local and I'm on call until Monday.

Really hope there is some left.

  • List.

I must've done quite a few of these already..

  • Belgian beer isn't...

    DTM.

  • Heavy Industry NOS smoked porter. Nice.
    Go Wales!

  • Your local is awesome

  • Really enjoying this year's Duvel Triple Hop

  • Don't tend to go often as I'm not he biggest fan of their beer, but I was at the Meantime Old Brewery pub in Greenwich last night, apparently it has been sold to Young's. They had no ales except shit Young's ones and the only other ale was Meantime Pale. Rest of taps are all lagers including fucking Fosters. Absolutely terrible.

  • That is unusual. Knew they were going to be sold at some point. They usually just have all of their stuff on tap. Shame if they are now just like every other shit pub.

Just did some googling and they've only bought the pub. Meantime will be to be sold soon because of the Inbev take over of SAB Miller who own Meantime.

  • That's what I meant, just the pub. It was one of the better offerings in Greenwich, which seems to have a dearth of decent pubs, which is perhaps down to the tourist market and Bazza's from Kent Friday/Saturday night crowds.

Seems a shame, I can see why SAB Miller would want rid it is a distraction to focusing on wider distribution, and they have their own tap now (though why anyone would want to go to go to Blackwall tunnel to visit it is another matter). But what Young's have put in place is absolutely rubbish.

  • Thornbridge Melba, Peach IPA interesting... Wild Swan less so.

  • tasted many beers with some friends last night, the guys that guided us through all of the lovely brews said this Goth labeled Surly Darkness was something quite special (they brought a couple of bottles back from a trip to the US, traded for some sour Belgian stuff they love very much over there).

    All beers we tried:
