How many fucking models of cranks do these idiots produce (and then remove from the market)?
Original BB30 crank, 144m Q:
Si [200i, silver, discontinued]
SiSL [2007, black, discontinued]New BB30/a crank 144mm Q (or 147mm if you believe a Cannondale doc, but I don't.)
SiSL2 [2013, black 109mm axle]
Si hollowforged [2013, black, hollow, 109mm axle]
Si forged [2016, black, forged non-hollow, 109mm axle]So, I believe I have a 104mm axle sitting waiting for me, any idea where I can get the cheapest set of 165mm arms that might work with it?
I'd just grab any 165mm variation you can find. If it has to be 165mm. All your acquisition problems will go away if you go 170mm. Technically the Hollowforged Si crank will be the cheapest at retail, because I don't believe you can buy the Si forged crank at retail or as spare parts yet. And it's fugly.
Any British sellers do SiSL2?
Yes, but 165mm seems to be the issue and I got a cryptic message from UK along the lines of '165mm? no because we can't be bothered'.
If you are talking about the 'new' Si arms then I believe it's the same design as the SiSl2 arms and will have 2.5mm less than SiSl and what the design intended.
