  • It's amazing how quickly one adapts to new games. The other week when I downloaded Projects Cars, I was just doing donuts and hitting walls every three seconds. Going in a straight line was genuinely hard.
But that feeling when your brain starts to figure something out that's physics related... It's fascinating.
I'm now doing 7 minute clean laps of Nurburgring.
Not even that in to racing or cars but racing games always seem to get your coordination working really well. The only other thing that I can think of that gets your reaction speed this good and this quickly is COD online but that's more of a twitch response.

  • I've actually found CARS a bit disappointing. I've found it lacking a lot of features which would make it a lot more fun and immersive.

  • Yeah, it's quite austere in a lot of ways. It's really good at what it focuses on, though.

I never liked the mandatory progression of Gran Turismo so having the freedom to drive everything straight off the bat is pretty cool. I basically treat it as a racing sandbox, completely ignoring career mode, and this is where it really shines.

Its a shame you can't currently have mandatory pit stops in single race but the devs have said it is coming.
