You mean... You're not just building this to take some dramatic photos then sell it?
-
• #109
Of course not.
I'm going to ride it to the top of a Welsh mountain, THEN take some dramatic photos of it and THEN sell it.

How do you compress the headset with those? It appears there is no topbolt so I'm guessing you need one of those expanding spacers?
EDIT: apparently they do have a bolt. You just can't see it in those pics.

That's dedication.

Messrs King, Wald, Nitto and Tubus were kind enough to turn up to the party. It's all starting to make sense as a whole now. Can't decide if Nitto needs the black PlastiDip treatment

what tubus low rider is that? any idea if the hoop will fit with 27.5+?
-
• #118
Big Apple version of the Tara. It's 75mm wide before it starts narrowing in earnest where it loops, and I reckon you'd have ~70mm between the rim and top with a 650b rim, based on some quick caliper wanging and dependant on eyelet placing. So you'd probably be good up to at least 27.5x2.5"

• #119
thanks - I have 27.5 x 2.8 so may be too tight
-

Sounds like it. If your fork has inside and outside mid-blade mounts the Tubus Duo should work. Otherwise the Blackburn Outpost has big clearance

Today I received a nice postcard from Bosnia
Attached to it were some wheels. After some remounting and truing, I have a whole bike. Have a photo dump in return

Love it. The XTR is poppin and the tyres really make it.
-

Awesome!
You didn't have any problem with the canti pads hitting the tyres sidewall did you? one of the main issues with Massive Fucking Tyres is that the sidewall protrude so much that the pads can hit the sidewall before it finally hit the rims.
I'm sure you know this, hut I want to throw this in as a precaution.
A+ work, loved every single thing about it, beside the horrendous paintjob.
Where is?
edit: nvm just seen
