Got a campa bb not pictured and waiting on some chainring bolts. Might start putting things together today.
The big pita so far has been the rims. I ordered a set of 32h rims and got a set of36h, emailed the shop several times but so far they have ignored me or given nonsensical replies. Probably have to bite the bullet and call them.
Still need:
Crank bolts
17t cog

Fitted Saddle, seat post, bb, cranks and chainring yesterday.Saddle is a Hurrican, was sold as a "Spanish turbo" so I thought it wold fit the build. Fitting the saddle on the seat post was a lot less fiddly than I expected it to be.
Found a bag of campy chainring bolts in my parts bin, didn't take a picture of it but the crank sit very close to the chainstay, might have to file it down a bit.
Measured the chainline to 43mm, should be fine. -

Good work so far my friend! :-)
I ask you kindly if and when you have the chance to buy this beauty some proper decals, you can find them on ebay and cyclomondo. Will look good when finished I can tell.Ps. Be careful with the threading on the pedals and cranks and other parts. They often used metric and BSC bits are quite rare. I really like this setup
Do you have better pics? -

Gahh! Both cranksets have french threding and the pedals are BSC! According to Sheldon "Aluminum French cranks are easily rethreaded to 9/16" x 20 TPI." Talked to my lbs in town and they can't do it so I'm thinking about doing it myself. Found these after some quick ebaying:
Not to pricey and IceToolz are decent quality right?

Small update: Cleaned and regreased the pedals.
Found the source of the rattling, the bearing was completly dry and the balls made the sound as the pedal spun around the axel.
Won a 17t and a 19t zeus alu cogs, (notecibly thicker than the 18t steel one I already have)
and a set of zeus chainring bolts.
So now the drivetrain is complete:
So, whats left? Well, I haven't sorted out the wheels yet, lost the bet on a set of Zeus pista hubs to some last second ninja bidder, there is a set on ebay currently with a ridiculous price, made a cheeky offer but I doubt I will get them... going to post a wanted add here aswell.
On a side note this also happend:

Salmon looks goood, such rad fades but is smaller than the Zeus?
Also are you keeping the 18t cog? can trade for some smaller alu cogs I have spare :-) -

Has it been seven months? Damn!
Well things are moving forward, finaly got the right rims (Hubjub mixed up my order so I had to go to Copenhagen to switch packages with some poor guy). Built them up only to realise the valveplacement was wrong on both wheels so I had to do it again...
In progress:
Finished (the cat is impressed):

Sorry for the late reply. Just got a 50t chainring so I might use the 18t cog with that. Plus I live in sweden so the postage might be a bit steep.

Wheels fitted:
The stems I´ve tried to fit have all gone in very reluctantly so I figured it was a french sized fork that some prevuos owner had forced a bsc headset on. I spent a coulpe of months tracking down a french sized headset and finaly got this from troc-velo.com:
I tried fitting it but the treads wouldnt engage, got my calipers out and measured, the steerer diam is 22.1 mm. Cleaned it out, greased the stem and it fitted like a glove. Dont know if I can be arsed to get a zeus BSC headset, I have already spent too much money on bike stuff this month, and this wasnt supposed to be a full zeus build.Since this wasnt supposed to be a full zeus build I recently bought not one, but two rear zeus track hubs :) The high flange one is laced to a 650c Mavic mach 2 cd 2 rim so I will delace it and sell the rim.

Hello! Great blog, and nice work shown here.
I am trying to build my own Zeus Pista. Could anyone tell me where I could find some Zeus pista parts, please?
Thanks! -

Wow
Beautiful build that has been carefully out together despite all the thread-challenges
How old is the frame? Is it repainted or original?

Well, to be honest I haven't done anything with the bike since the last picture was taken. I've contemplated selling it for a while now and will probably put it up for sale in the next few days.
Bought this frame last summer with the intention of building a "nice" bike, however moving house and supporting a family on one income has made this a slow progress.
Built it up with lots of placeholders and did som fair weather riding on it, it´s so much lighter than my beater. It rode nice but I didn´t like the look of it, esp wheels and chainring.
Bought a velosolo chainring and started looking into building my own set of wheels. It sat on my turbo during the winter and this year i have been collecting some parts for it...
