I'm running GP4000sII with carbon clinchers from DCR wheels and actually asked the question about warnings from some tyre manufacturers. He was unaware that there was an issue and said none of his customers had ever had a problem. Maybe its more of a problem with crabon ordered direct from manufacturers... I certainly didn't notice that they were in any way sharp but it's early days yet!

I'm debating the same problem for my new wheels. Probably going to avoid carbon clinchers and get some Chinese carbon tub wheels. I'll also probably get something like Campag Zondas for less nice days to put the Veloflex clinchers on.
