They do make a wire version, I have a bunch of them, are you sure the ones you ordered are folding? The ones in the link have the rrp for the wire bead (£25 the folding is rrp £35...)

Yeah I have no idea. They were piss easy to fit on my archetypes, maybe they do have a bead.
so I amend my answer @Psmith they make both kinds, and theorectically the beaded version are easy to fit.

They are folding. I'm not sure they make a wire beaded version. There are probably other more salient factors but all I can really say is that folding are usually lighter and may be a bit easier to mount?
