First go at a CP thread, to be fair most of the building isn't mine.....
After a year or so of unwellness, and having sold my Dale to TallTim, it was time to get something new. I thought I would go custom and build a once in lifetime bike, I'm not likely to get a sanctioned opportunity again.
After looking at lots of builders and reading through countless reviews, lots on here and elsewhere, Matt at Talbot was who I wanted to go with. I think his bikes have all the right attributes, they look incredible and everyone has raved about how well they ride, so thought I would take the leap and order one.
I went to see Scherrit first and got a bike fit, this would give Matt a set of touch points to work off and allow him to get the geometry correct. Then it was on to Matt. I want to be able to sit on the bike all day and churn through the miles on this, so aggressive wasn't what I was going for. This has resulted in lots of seat post, and a sloped top tube to allow comfortable reach. The bike was going to have a steel frame with a composite ISP, similar to Hoops. But it has changed a bit, due to good fortune on my part and Matt needing a bike for Bespoked after someone pulled out, it will now have carbon composite rear end and tubes with steel lugs, essentially the Composite Dalsnibba, similar to the one he has.
Lots of the parts on the bike will be from my old bike and then extras I have picked up, list below.
Paint Design: I've left the below with Matt as an idea. He has a style and I don't really want to get too involved with how he executes it. Given his ideas when I went and saw him, it should be killer.

That's kind of it for now, really excited to get my hands on it and get out riding.
