  • Thanks, also in the seat of the pants u can see it begin to split on both sides, and my left pocket has a hole bc of my iphone...

OK cool, i guess i'll send them in.

  • Looks like the sample sales are back.

  • Something is amiss...

    Glasgow
    Dates: 13th-15th May
Address: The Market Hall, Custard Factory
    Gibb Street, Birmingham, B9 4AA

  • Maybe it is a way of saying 'get yourself to Birmingham because there might be fuck all left by the time we get to Glasgow'

  • Yay ! Birmingham

  • New council slogan?

  • Depends on the socks. I looove the merino long city socks and XL fit my 11 feet perfectly, but the Mrs bought me a few pairs of the regular merino socks, also in XL, and they're way way smaller fitting. They're more shaped and have much less stretch. I can wear them, but they're pretty tight where the top of my foot meets the front of my ankle.

But for any of them, I'd be going XL.

  • I think they're already going with "Birmingham - It's not shit"

  • just realized that my divine experience with rapha chamoix is only with the pro team aerosuit. From what I recall few pages back the pro line has differend chamoix than the classic, non?

Is the chamoix the core line uses same or worse than the one the pro team aerosuit has?

  • Mens Pro Team (inc Aero, Shadow, Aerosuits), Classic, Core; all the same pad.

The only different pad in mens is in the Lightweight versions (Classic, Pro Team), which have perforations through the padding to remove weight, reduce moisture retention and reduce drying time.

  • Is this the same for the new Brevet bibs?

  • Cool. I was hoping someone would be there. I'll send you a list of what I want closer to the time ok? :)

  • Good spot Clem! apologies @negaatio, I'd forgotten these had launched

The new Brevet bibs have a slightly thicker pad (like 10%), but engineered with different density foams layered and placed front/back; testing showing it's not simply a case of more padding = more comfort, but appropriate density padding placed in the correct place.

    Hope this helps,

  • my string vest base layers came in the post today :) fit is brill, feels well pro.

Even with the discount, and another discount, I still feel like a mug for buying enough fabric for one baselayer spread across 3 base layers but you know, I bet they're lovely on the bike.

  • OK, gonna get in early. If anyone is sample saling, I'd like a cross skinsuit, or any skinsuit in XS, or an aero jersey... I'm willing to sharpie out Sky logos...

  • Can I buy one for you in exchange of some furniture? ;)

  • I'm sure we could work something out. You making the pilgrimage then?

  • If anyone is visiting Birmingham during the weekend of the Rapha sample sale, i'll be heading up a ride on the Sunday morning if you can make it. Departs The Custard Factory at 8am on the Sunday.

  • Nah I'll buy you one at full price xxx

  • They're so good for commuting. It's like wearing nothing at all.

  • literally the emperors new commuting clothes.

  • 184cm 76kg Small Cross aerosuit fits (Rapha's recomended sizing is a little off on this item)

  • anyone using the green rapha bidons?

Trying to decide which colours would go well with my supersix team colours

    For reference

    Green or smoky grey?

yes I'm a tart - this is the rapha thread, what did you expect!
