  • I'm sorry I don't know, they were on eBay, only just ended, I won, don't need them. Description on the add is only the cannondale info from their site

  • Out of interest who did your bike fit? Those look some pretty weird number for a retul fit. E.g. Why so much stack and then a -17deg stem (work against one another)?

  • Friend just got a new Dale and wants to drop his stem more.
What are people buying to replace the large cone that sits on the bearings? And what's the technical term for that part?!

@shelbby what are you using to slam your stem?

  • nothing, there should be a flat circular cover underneat the conical tower

  • Sometime there are, sometime not.

I usually do away with the cover and ride with exposed bearing on the fair weather bike.

  • given the British climate there is no such thing for me as a fair weather bike

  • Only if you have one bike.

  • Tester on the forum has low stack spacers, I have one on my Caad10.

  • Fairly sure she's using a Supersix cover, she'll confirm I guess. Or an mdcc cover would work.

All supersixes come with a conical cover on top of a low stack...I don't think the caads have the same arrangement.

  • Mine!

  • ^ Needs anodized lime green spidering...

  • Funny you should say that...

  • Any reason not to choose this at £749 over a CAAD12 at £699?

Carbon and rim brakes - Known quantity?
    vs
Aluminium and discs - Future proof?

The talk of fit above has me wary - 194 CM but i'm thinking 60CM with layback and 130ish stem will be on par with my current TCR Comp with 130. Need to chuck them both into a geo comparison to check.

  • You are saying my body proportions are weird? ;-)

I agree, the -17deg 150mm stem does seem a bit odd.

There is an explanation for it, though.
I went there to get a fit on my current bike at the time. We ended up sliding the adjustable stem out to 150mm before realising I couldn't achieve a proper fit on it (frame was too short), I was then moved to the fully adjustable retul bike and got a proper fit there.
To save time, I guess he did the adjustments on the frame and not the stem.

However, It does not bother me too much. I look at handlebar stack/reach instead and use online tools like http://yojimg.net/bike/web_tools/stem.php to calculate stem length and spacers when browsing frames.

  • As mentioned before but via Qwerty

  • More than likely going to be putting this up for sale after the weekend, i have to finally admit its just too small for me, and soon to be with bike no4 i have a feeling I'm on the verge of (N+1)=-Mrs Dick

Initial heads up to the aficionado's let me know if theres any interest.

  • damn. let me know if you split lol

  • thanks but thinking it through made me realize a) i'm not that strong (using compact spider atm), b) cooking the green out of it and doing black ano would be a pain in the rear.. someone with a liquigas-green dale should have it!

  • Flip the stem upside down?

  • Glad its 54..

  • what size is it? what price you looking for?

  • 54 - pop me a PM if you're interested

  • Nah I should have gone with 56 - the other CAAD10 I have in 56 seems better, but I'm still not that happy with it, I might even sell that aswell.

  • Are you having a competition with @eyebrows and @amey for going through bikes?
