Tried a torx and it didn't work. Took apart the caliper and cut the bolt but still no joy.

True dat, (good spot) I'm guessing the owner is a tad short for the bike with the saddle and bar position

Nice frame, should be a sweet build! There is a similar CAAD for sale in the Netherlands at a nice price, 350€. Dont know if they will ship though...
