Right, yellow and black tyres for now as they are 23mm and the conti's are 25mm and were rubbing the front mech adapter a little... Found the rival mech and barrel adjuster but swapping them over will have to wait... Need to get the bathroom floor down before the fiancé returns home!

Really nice.
Black tyres I reckon, partly to let the frame sing a bit but also to compliment the lovely black-as-black rims.
(Bravo for the matchy yellow/black hammer!) -

I want a Look so much. Looks like you've had a very busy day. Hope your wedding was fun. I look forward to the birth of your first kid before midnight ;)

Black seat post and I think that'll look pretty much bang on. Well played.

Now that the kids are grown and off at uni I've finally found the time to dust off the old Look and go back to black tyres and rear mech - hope I have time to ride it now that I'm retiring this month, tomorrow...

Managed to save a massive 3g by replacing the jockey cage with a carbon one from a smashed red rear mech...

Was going to move the dropouts back but it seems that the conti's are winning the fight against the naff mech adapter...

Looks awesome, I forgot how good SRAM 'yellow' looks.

My Deda tape has lasted like 2 years and the only damage is from when I threw the bike down the road the other week.
-

I've never had any bartape last less than a year, even with heavy usage, whereas my mate wore some out with his bare hands within a few weeks.
Weird...

Found some photos of this frame as it was previously built up... http://s924.photobucket.com/user/franko777/library/?sort=3&page=1

Looking good. I've got a Red black edition groupset. I sanded all the decals off the cranks, mechs and shifters and 're clear coated. (Think I left 'double tap' on the paddles..) doing something like that here, could look pretty rad, unless you want the matchy matchy tdf yellow.

Why did you throw your bike down the road?
I'm sure the bartape would last years of use but the foam/cork ripped when I was carefully unwrapping the bars a little to refit a gear cable... Cork tape in general is a bit naff...
Wonder if this stuff will look good? I'm also tempted to go for white hoods and tape... Hmm...

Cool - got a picture of the cranks?
The matchy matchy TdF was kind of the vibe I was after - French frame for riding in France at the same time as TdF with a TdF group etc... (The coloured tires were also a nod to way the french seem to go a little overkill on matchy, at least from the people I've seen out and about - the next step would be to get some blue mavic cosmos that I can leave on the bike out there and bring the Reynolds home.)
I've acetone'd the rear mech, seatpost, stem and sprayed the shifters and will acetone/spray the white off the bars at some point...

Anyone know where I can get a basso stem in the UK? I think this diamanté in yellow might look cool...

Well spotted! they're a bit pricier than I was hoping... maybe if I love the bike I'll stump up for one, or wait a year or two and find one on eBay etc...
Cheers though!

I'd go for a -17 stealthed stem, nice and level with the top tube!
