If you can get there for lunch, http://www.lasalvaora.com/ is great - their 'Menu del Dia' is only about 13E but fantastic, best value food I've ever had, I'd say. Three courses, normally including three different small starters.
I've not eaten there in the evening, but I imagine it would be great too. I go there every time I'm in Valencia, (which is often, I'm looking to move there).
