New silly wheelset today, chinese carbon (23mm wide 38mm deep) to DT Swiss track hubs with Sapim CX-Ray in between.

No, Gigantex 38mm

• #107155
Whats the reason for the flo 90? I thought hed3s are faster than everything
-
• #107156
Can I ask how much a wheelset like that is?
It looks very nice btw
-
• #107157
Well the hubs cost about 160eur (65+85), rims I got from aliexpress in their 11/11 sale for 180. Spokes you can spend hardly a thing for some round spokes, a fair bit more for cn spokes, and more yet for dt or cx ray - lowest you can find them for seems to be about 2eur a spoke. Depending on your spokes anyway I suppose you're looking at between 370 and 430eur.

A set quite like that is €999.90 to €1077.90 :-)

gonna be nice rollers paired with 23er tires !
-
• #107160
Well, it depends. I still have a Hed3, but they only work with a 20c and I fancied something that would work with a slightly larger tyre.

• #107162
gotcha, thanks for clarifying.

Whilst you're all moving to bikes with discs, I'm 10 years behind and took advantage of the Planet X fire sale and got a Pro Carbon frame for £299.00. Had it built up by Joel at Blue Door who did a great job. Transferred everything over from my now retired Trek. Would love some nicer cranks but it will have to wait.

Nah, but 28mm barely cope with the smaller rougher road in the South Down, almost felt like 22mm.
650b thru axles in the future with 42mm.

Where does one buy the hubs?

https://www.bike24.com/p2155786.htmleventually. A couple of shops in the US have them in stock if you're desperate to pay loads of shipping and duty to get them soon.

I put a new chain on my bike and now it doesn't sit on the top sprockets of the cassette properly. It skips over the 3rd biggest one when shifting and I can't work out why.

I can't work out why
Old cassette?
-
• #107170
Odd, seems like there was too much chain tension. I had to set the derailleur like normal except with the inline adjuster part way out, then slacken it off about half a turn for it to use the top sprockets properly.

• #107171
Not old or worn enough to cause issue

Sound like a new cassette is needed.
How was the chain on the small/small? Was the chain as close to the derailleur as possible?
Finished my MAMIL chariot. Went for a spin, it's lovely :)
