  • You selling?

  • The owner is.
I'm on another forums that's mostly people in the states. He posted a thread on the fork and not a single person had any interest in it except for me...and that was only because I knew all of the UK guys love these bikes, especially V1 stuff. He asked me to help him find a buyer.

I'm pretty sure he'll be open to selling overseas....I just want to get a rough estimate for him. He definitely doesn't have use for the fork though and is 100% selling.

  • @laner might want it for his Gangsta perhaps?

  • I love the V1 forks.

    @timbre - need a V1 fork?

  • I'm a big cluster fork fan, but if it was a good price I wouldn't say no

  • @timbre Was that you with the 'snap' on the way to Herne Hill? Gangsta was looking good. Damn those bars are wide!

  • Ha yes it was, I think I saw 8/9 Brooklyns yesterday. New record :!

  • Better pics of the @HACHA 's gangsta

  • sticker looks a bit off.. Nice color tho

  • on the Phils & 25c's for a change, better than the 35c Ribmos, looks alright with skinny tyres aswell. need to swap the thomson for longer if anyone has one im after 110 or 120 0 degree will trade for my 100 0 degree

  • harshell on the front in summer is suicidal

  • Unless you corner like a pussy

    #dontlean

  • hardshells on the front always suck

  • never ridden them, always ride ribmos, seem ok to me, free tyres are free so I'm gonna ride them

  • Out of interest, what gear are people running on Brooklyn's? They are pretty heavy and those fat tyres make me think they must be fairly hefty to get going from the lights? Looks like a lot of 50t chainrings though?

  • i rode the same gearin ive rode on every bike.
    not an issue

  • What's that then?

  • 48 17

  • 47 17

  • 48 19 on mine. with 32c ribmos + living in bristol with hill commute. used to be 48 18 on skinny tyres.

    48 17 when I was in cambridge

  • 49t with 20t cog.

65gi and I'm a lots faster in London than the old 48/19, your average spin should be 110rpm, which with 49/20 is around 20mph, the fact I can accelerate without standing up is great.

32mm is a good compromise, as long it's not those heavy punctures resistant shit.

  • thanks all for the insight.

  • had 46 19 in the parts box, seems roughly comparable with 49/20 suggestion, so giving that a bash start lower than expected seems sensible.
