My experience with fake gear on ebay (from buying loads of adidas kicks back in the day) is that if its fake and advertised as legit then you can dispute for a full refund and once you've proved its a fake (should be easy enough), you get your cash back and you can hold on to the item as you need to ensure it is "destroyed".
Might want to double-check to see if things have changed in the last few years but I've "destroyed" three pairs of trainers at no cost to myself (in fairness, I bought all three expecting them to be legitimate).
I'd be really skeptical about any Carbon SMPs on eBay. Unless it's £30
