I would consider it. How much?
How big are they? I mean I can't really visualise their capacity compared to my PAC. My PAC is usually compressed down too.

I can take some pictures tonight with a bunch of stuff, have a large (I think...) PAC for comparison

May as well if you're gonna list it for sale anyway, right :)
I'm riding tonight so won't be around until Sunday probably.

It's a very lazy attempt at selling... Will sort something out this weekend and drop you a message.

No biggie. I actually ordered a Velocity already but if it's too small, yours might fit the bill.

Anyone got any more recent thoughts on bags?
Found this one: http://www.resolutebayclothing.com/shop/resolutebayxbagaboo/rucksack which is nice in that it's quite simple and elegant-looking, and the reflective strips are pretty useful too. Bit of an untested company for bags though - it's a collab with Bagaboo apparently - anyone know what they're like? -

At that price point I'd suggest the forums own BigxTop bags.
-

Yep, been looking at those - they look good, but a bit worried about the real lack of back venting - and they don't have the added reflectivity bonus.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but Alpkit do a nice range of bike packing bags that are ethically sourced and will not break the bank:

I have one of their "Fixie" backpacks. Naff name aside, I use it for my daily commute (30 mins on folder - 1 hour on train - 10 mins on folder each way), and it's ample enough to carry spare clothes, laptop, etc and has lots of handy things like a zipped waistband for carrying keys etc:

Just my tuppence worth, I have no affiliation to Alpkit beyond liking their gear.

I used a bigxtop for hiking in Sumatra, they do get a bit sweaty. On the other hand I'm not convinced that back venting makes things significantly better.
The reflective stuff looks good, I've stuck reflective stickers on previously but they look a bit crap and come off.
One benefit of the bigxtop is the two sets of straps down the front. Useful for strapping stuff to and I miss them on another bag where I don't have anything.

Also used a bigxtop for.. almost everything, commuting, camping, travelling and never noticed it to be any worse than my smaller yet back ventilated osprey tbh, not convinced it helps much

I've been looking for a bag since my trusty northface holds more water than it keeps out.
I stumbled across their site and reviews seemed to be highly positive even though they are cheap as you like. I'd opt for a 20l because of the compression straps as I don't always have a full bag.
EDIT: Due in stock mid julyThe lomo seems the second alternative in the price range but the zip compartment although ideal isn't 100% waterproof apparently.

Shit that's a nice looking bag, love the reflective striping, and that it's woven in so it hopefully won't wear off...
Looks at specs... WHY IS IT ONLY 20L!???
on the way home means these little bags just don't cut it..
Like it would be sweet for when I'm just out in the city for a haircut and look at Cds, but If I want to buy anything a bag that small quickly becomes useless >< -

Velocity is a really really good pack but I just got too effed off with the one-pocket solution, constantly knackering my hands on tools trying to fish around for my keys
-

Looking for a backpack myself... the Vulpine one at £70 in the current sale looks interesting...just missing a front buckle and I don't quite like the idea of first opening the upper flip and then the zip to access stuff inside...

quite tempted by this Chrome Rostov, £95...

One man operation working out of Milwaukee Wisconsin, bags look great. I just bought the Mollepack, he also makes an absolutely ginormous "Rolltop courier pack" backpack.
Will post pictures and report when my Mollepack arrives.
Oh he has an Etsy shop for UK sales.

Not affiliated in anyway btw, just bought a pack from him and thought I'd share.
I used to use backpacks, until I smashed my collarbone to bits, just pretty cheap ones and they'd usually last a good few years. They weren't totally waterproof but good enough for Aus weather. I love my PACs but I want to remove them as potential contributors to my hip issues.
