Enjoying Flank which, from Sunday is at The Cow on Seven Dials (having previously been on Preston Street). The chef, Tom, used to run the kitchen at The New Club which is also not bad.
64 Degrees is very nice but not so easy to get a table at short notice.
Silo is fantastic and right in the centre of the lanes.
Curry Leaf Cafe is great south Indian street food.
Chill Pickle by the library is probably the best Indian food I've had outside of India.
Everyone rates Riddle & Finns for seafood but I've been there 3 times and have been extremely sick afterwards on two of those.
There's also Brighton's best kept secret Bincho Yakitori which is basically where all the chefs go after work.

Any suggestions for decent restaurants in Brighton? No strong preference for type of food.
