  • I thought maybe your concern was aesthetic or q-factor.

    I use a Rotor crankset with their BSA30 BB for a 1x9 system on my CX bike. The bearings, being outside the BB shell, take up the "extra" spindle length and my 34t chain ring is still tolerably close to the chainstay.

    As the BB30 bearings are inside the BB shell, I guess the spacers would be on the spindle itself. That might not look good, I dunno.

  • My real concern was chain line and all that stuff, but then realised the 10 or so millimeters isn't going to be a real issue is it!

    Aesthetic wise I guess it doesn't really matter from drive side point of view
