Not routinely, but yes:
I eat a balanced diet,
but when she is overly influenced/spooked/duped by something she reads or is told,
mrs. mespilus stops moaning if I take them,
despite me telling her I object to having expensive urine. -

There is some evidence that taking Zinc can shorten the duration of a cold.
So stocking up on Berocca/the boots, tesco copies of it may be helpful. Especially if you cycle/train a lot this can make you more susceptible to colds.
Fluoro pee is a bonus with it ;)

Least infuriating route to get from SE19 to M25/countryside heading vaguely South?

What is the correct name / where can I find aero bar extension mounts?
I have a spare set of J bend extensions that could be put to use, but all I need is the mount onto handlebars. Not fussed if they come with/without pads, only really want to mount the extensions.

"clip-on bar clamp" works as a search term, add "triathlon" if you're not building a cafe racer :-)

Thanks. Mindblank moment.
Edit: of course, can't find a basic (read: cheap) option, so it may be a case of buying the cheapest complete set and throwing parts away.

Ambrosio atritium come up fairly often on eBay. I got a pair for about £5 and do the job well on my everyday bike/trainer

I'm looking for toe covers that will work with Size 48 shoes and SPD cleats. All the ones I'm seeing online seem to assume road cleats both for the cutout and for the retention system. Or they don't show the cutout in the product pics.
A quick search of the thread did not turn up anything useful. Anyone able to help?

I use these for both road and MTB: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-toe-cover-overshoe/

Ta. I did see those but they fall under the category of "no product shots showing the cutouts"
Will give them a shot. Anyone want some unused Castelli Toe Things?
-
• #75312
Yeah I think I do. SPD? I'm size 45.
-
• #75313
They didn't work with my Lake MTB shoes with SPDs - although in a smaller shoe it might work. You're SE? Could try them at a Souths or South East beers. I'm also HH/Brixton -> Clapham -> South Circular when I ride

what summer mitts are people wearing these days? Don't love wearing them but i'll be racing crits and I do love the skin on my palms.
What's comfy and breathable?
Bonus points if it lets the sun through to the top of your hand - had some stupid looking tan lines last summer...

GRIPPPPPP.

Was it the width of the shoe or the height that was an issue? My shoes have a recessed SPD cleat. When/where are Souths again? (lazy)
-
• #75317
Length - couldn't get the cut out past my cleat positioning. I have Size 48 extra wide Lakes with the cleats set as far back as possible.
Souths are Wednesdays - although I am not there tonight.

Cheers, I'll drop you a PM next week if you can make it?

I love my 'aero' style Suarez mitts. Adequate albeit synthetic feeling padding on the palm, but nice and tight on the hand. Don't spend too much if you're planning on sacrificing them in lieu of flesh.
-
• #75320
Yah. Sounds good. If I can't make it then I can hand them over to the other half to bring.

Appropriate level of response to kids continually smoking weed in the stairwell and hopping out over my neighbours fence?
Housing association?

pro-team or classic?
There has been some discussion in the pro cycling thread. Terrible shame.
