  • You can always get Problem Solver Travel Agent to change cable pull for you.

Other option is fitting compressionless outer to make it feel a little less sloppy.

  • Update of mine.

Convert it to 1x9 (36 x 11-34), thanks to @Hulsroy for the shifter mount idea !
Could try a ghetto 10-42 cassette but will ride it for a couple of month before decide.

  • Bling build.

    Pelago rack?

    How is it?

  • Nice and sturdy. Many pieces to fit it well.
For now pretty happy with it !

  • Great stuff, I have one on order.

  • With 28's + guards.

Also trying out the Carradice SQR mount with a re-appropriated Ortlieb rolltop pannier bag.

  • Can we get a close up on the derailleur hanger pls?

    Also; what is that fork?

  • Thinking of putting gears on my Pomp again. Do I go for a 3 or 5 speed hub or the 120mm oln 5 speed screw on hub I have + the dmr hanger tug?

  • What fork is that?

  • Yep will do that later today !

    @Captain_P, it's a lht fork the 700c version.

  • Is this the large rack? Nice build!

  • Thanks !
No it's a medium one. Could do a front pict if interested.

  • If you don't mind!

  • @spiderpie here we go !

  • Thanks - might order myself one of those.

  • The only way i got the tektos to work was running full housing to the first stop. Then when adjusting the lever feel you have to pull the cable taunt from the v brake noodle and then tighten the cable down on the brake arm. Lastly adjust the pads using the preload screws. As you have said its a PITA but once i got the slack out of the cable the pull felt pretty good. A really good set up if youre dedicated to drop bars are the CC compact levers coupled with the shimano road v brakes.

  • @Tho Where did you cop the hanger from?
I've got one on my lock up/winter shit pomp from an old race bike that needed some "persuasion" to stay in place. Lookin for an upgrade.

  • Upgraded the touring pompino last week. All hopes of racing some sscx are fading away and I'm embracing the 'practical' ggfgtb (gravel grinding fixed gear touring bike).

Blackburn outpost front rack and ortlieb back rollers. Handles surprisingly well despite not being a low trail 650b thing. Low speed handling is dog shit though. Got some flared alpkit bars on order and a 5l dry bag for on top of the rack.

  • @voxelwise, it's this one :
    http://www.probikeshop.fr/commencal-patte-de-derailleur-absolut-37/85044.html
But I had to play with a file to fit it in the dropouts.

Nice pomp by the way, very rat !

  • What kinda gearing you running?

I'm on 42:18 and was struggling when riding loaded similarly to hows yours looks in that photo. Not sure if I need gears or htfu.

  • I'm running 39:16, so about 66inches I think once you take into account the 32c on the back. It's an okay gear, I've ran that to commute and to tour a very flat 1500km in France. I've got an 18t freewheel on the other side but rarely touch it.

More just a case of accelerating gently and then trying to hold as much momentum as I can. Once it's moving it doesn't like to stop.
