  • There's not a lot. There's Itadaki Zen, a Japanese restaurant. I've only been there once and found it overpriced and the food was nothing that I couldn't have knocked together, but other people tell me that it's massively improved since and they've had wonderful meals there.

After that, I think you have to go further afield. There's the old Indian Veg in Chapel Market (Islington), fairly unremarkable food (some dairy) but all-you-can-eat and good value for money. There's also The Gate in St John Street, which is vegetarian. (I haven't been.)

Dou Dou in Camden (Kentish Town Road, opposite Camden Tube station) is the last (I think) of those vegan all-you-can-eat buffet places that sprang up around London about ten years ago, but which have now mostly disappeared. It's fatty, salty food but some of it is rather tasty, and it's likewise good value for money.

Alara Wholefoods is in Marchmont Street. They do a pricey vegetarian lunchtime buffet.

There are still a few places in the City, I think, but I haven't been keeping up.

I don't think there is anything else nearby, and the above mentions are obviously cycling-based. :) I can't recommend any of them, though.
