Anyone riding the E2/25 Lea Valley TT on April the 9th? Last day for entry is today...

unfortunately a bit far from home for me at the moment, need to work TTs into longer rides so sticking to very local stuff!

Have signed up for the West London Combine 25 on the 17th (25 on H25/2) and the Westerly CC 10 on the 24th on H10/22.

Oh and will sign up for the H&D wheelers 100 in the next few days as well, it just feels like a long way at the moment as I don't think ive ridden 100 miles in one hit since ironman!

I'm racing that 25. Which means the event won't run for some reason, like World War will break out because that course is cursed for me. Sorry 'bout that.

hopefully not! would be nice to ride a TT other than H10/2 that im vaguely familiar with, I haven't worked out how you get to the start though! presumably up the old A404 and then back down the new A404 rather than crawling up the hill of the DC?!

It's a fast course and my 25 time is pretty shit so I doubt I'll be anything other than gap filler in the start sheet. I need to knock off 5 minutes to beat my club record of 00:50:37.

I think you head out of the HQ and turn left then hike up the ski slope, around the RAB and then down to the slip road. I have no idea which roads I'm talking about but I recce'd it last year before it was shortened to a 10. :S

My DA cranks are 4-arm.

I can see a bit of validity in going up the DC to see what conditions are actually like but pootling up a DC does not sound safe to me, incidentally, there were a surprising number of people who decided to completely freewheel at the end of Fridays event and watching from the footbridge above the road were going so slowly they were weaving across the lane - I know you're supposed to go deep on a 10, but keep the pedals turning till you're out of harms way people ffs!

Oh, you know what? I actually use that fucking road on my 'standard training loop'. I've only ridden it 200 fucking times!

I think I actually go up the other road, off the RAB towards Marlow Bottom but it joins the one you've drawn in. So that big RAB I rode across every week for 4 years is the top of H25/2...

they have a 2 pint maximum on free beer, surprised you haven't popped in to top up your levels before heading onwards!

The Rebellion brewery is good. We did a club ride there a couple of years ago.

And good directions to the H25/2 start. Main thing is to make sure you take the right exit off the roundabout or you'll end up on the M40. One of our club members did it a few years ago and ended up getting a lift in a police car!

Many, many times I have slowed but I'd often be there Sunday when it's shut and Saturday's I was usually trying to finish the ride as fast as possible so I actually had some weekend.

When I got so sick of riding I seriously wanted to sell all my bikes I started planning routes out to country pubs to 'refill my bottles'.

Who hasn't done a short stint down a Motorway though?
