  • remember reading on their website (they've since changed it) that they use a slightly different taper angle than ISO as suggested by @mdcc_tester.

On whose website? I've never said anything about taper angle being different between properly made JIS and ISO spindles.

  • I think it was the Token website. Afaik there is no difference in taper angle between JIS and ISO, both taper at 2 degrees relative to centreline according to Sheldon. What I meant was that Token/Tifosi ISO BB spindles have a different taper angle (not 2 degrees, I think they mentioned the angle but I cannot remember the exact number). At least that's what I remember from their website. They didn't mention anything about JIS, so I assumed that their JIS spindles had the usual taper angle and therefore seem to work fine

Edit: this is what I was referring to, see last post in this thread by a Token rep. Their ISO spindles are 1.8 degrees, their JIS spindles 2 degrees

  • I put as much force onto it as I could and so did Le Manfriend with his massive forearms, not sure where that Token rep is coming from. It really didn't fit.

Went on no bother on a Ritchey BB.
