I used mine on a Sugino 75...sits fine on a Ritchey ISO BB.
No marks on mine either like with @pdlouche nothing is ticked. It looks more like ISO than JIS (JIS doesn't have this sharper edge near the middle) but clearly it's not right :/

Depends on the manufacturer's method of forming the taper and on the diameter of the round part, not on whether it's JIS or ISO. The illustrations on Sheldon Brown are just samples, not indicative of a general difference between JIS and ISO axles.
What crank is that? Not having read any pretext to this problem, the pic above looks like an ISO crank sitting on a JIS spindle.
I wouldn't be surprised if the guy at the importer putting stickers on that batch just got it wrong, and the shop's unknowingly sent the wrong type.
