Phew! Watching on a muted feed....Surprised to see Fabs outplayed, you can only assume he was being charitable after the last head-to-head.

I think Canc realised he had left it too late to attack by about the 1.5km mark.

Apart from my gf crashing my wee cycle-watching party with some slightly irritating comments and questions that was very exciting and enjoyable.

Now to tease her out of the Cancellara-sized huff she's in because I got grumpy.

I don't think he had the legs in the end-he also fucked up by being in pole position leading into the final km which is probably why he was having a strop. Vanmarcke just chose the wrong wheel to follow.

Must be annoying pulling Kuznetsov (?) all the way to 3rd spot...

Kuznetsov missed out on 2nd by sitting up! That's going to sting a bit.

Also, that was an excellent race. As good as last years from what I saw (dropping in and out while doing some work, but there always seemed to be racing on). Final 20k was terrific.
