I think Canc realised he had left it too late to attack by about the 1.5km mark.

I don't think he had the legs in the end-he also fucked up by being in pole position leading into the final km which is probably why he was having a strop. Vanmarcke just chose the wrong wheel to follow.

Must be annoying pulling Kuznetsov (?) all the way to 3rd spot...
