Took the paper off when pedalling it back south over my shoulder, to avoid cycling with a sail.
Ms Supercool is currently very excited.

Liking the KFC packaging

Finger lickin' good paint job.

You tease, let's see an unwrapped pic.

Yep, time to stop flirting and take the clothes off.
The colour is RAL 5025 in a gloss finish with a lacquer. It's much brighter and lighter in real life and daylight than it is my living room at 10pm at night. We picked it because it ought to look good with the various chrome parts.
Not-so-fancy lugwork
Non-original Gazelle forks. So that's five sets of Gazelle forks in this household...
Looks a bit gunmetal grey in this shot. It's really not like that IRL.

Looks amazing! I really want one...

One day when i have more room. I barely have enough space for a sofa, let alone a bike the size of a sofa ;)
the colour is dead smart.

Looks great. Build it!! Build it!!!

It's built. And it's got a Carradice. Photos as soon as we take it out for a ride to get all the gears and brakes adjusted.

Excellent choice of both colour and gif

Happily mechs hardly needed adjustment when put back on the frame. Photos from our ride to, er, the bottom of the street and back. Last one carefully posed on an incline to show the drag brake in action. Winky face.

Well done on getting it looking like new, always nice to see tandems getting a bit of love. The stoker saddle to grips distance looks really short with the swept back bars. It gives the impression the stoker is sitting on top of the rear wheel and very upright, make sure you call the bumps!
Parking brakes are such an amazing and simple pleasure.

Ah! Very good point about the stoker's cockpit. My stoker wishes I'd realised that before picking the bars, because while the riding position is super comfortable back there, the bumps aren't. I'm getting good at calling them, but not good enough.
I have a set of less dramatically swept-back chrome bars that I could install but we're hoping that a sprung Brooks B17 might make life a little smoother. In which case we'll need to find a nice men's B17 for the front too...

Can't beat a thudbuster for comfort at the back (so I'm told) but it would ruin the classic looks :)

Lovely! ! !

Beautiful job. Love the colour - armourtex did my 1st re spray the same colour - lush in the sun. I'm currently eyeing up a restoration in Chichester on fleabay......great inspiration here.

Thud busters are great, the other half swears by them. Got them on both our touring and time trial tandem.

So smart. A mate of mine just got a tandem too. I kinda want one.
Looks great!
What Allen key set is that?
