Sounds like something a machine shop could knock up in 10 minutes, even if there's no off the shelf option

There was a thin threaded rod in there that the shifters or the cable stops bolted to. The thread used to strip, and Trek used to supply a repair kit, but that was a long time ago.
If you are using STIs you could fashion something with some threaded rod, unless your Trek dealer has a repair kit knocking about.
