From what I have been told, not from Tattoo Fixers obvs... is that red ink can be harder to settle on some skins, also some people can develop an allergy to red. I have bits of red on every tattoos I have, and the red on the one on my right leg has healed slightly funny, like that bit of the skin isn't entirely smooth anymore.
