Although there was quite a bit of focus on the Sydney terror attacks, as I recall.

So there's a media focus on, and more identification with, events that happen in places / to people that we share more with. Some of which may, or may not, impact us directly, or indirectly.

So all the visitors that flock to see the "queen's" jewels and ice...Are the places from which they came also considered close?
King Leo had extensive dealings- a special relationship with the Congolese, no?

  • Thats kind of like how a nuclear bomb would sort out your ant problem..>

even if you are against any action against ISIS, which I think is a legitimate view to take, I think this is a bad analogy.

  • Just for the record, ISIS must be nuclearizated! but with all the whites and the other colours powers which are responsible for creating wars aimed only to make the rich richer and all the others poorer or dead, or mutilated.

  • Or bollocked grappled.

  • Or bollocked grappled.>

    Preferable.

  • I generally err towards freedom of speech when considering these sorts of things. However, I think The Seldom Killer has a good point. If everyone in Croydon walked up to this woman every day and asked her if she was a terrorist none of them would have broken the law, but her life would be made unbearably unpleasant and she would have no formal protection whatsoever. Maybe criminal charges aren't the answer, but it worries me that the perpetrators of this sort of low-level hostility rarely ever get any comeback worse than looking an idiot on the internet.

  • He wasn't (couldn't be?) arrested for the tweet that got all the attention but a follow-up tweet in which he actually used a racial slur.

  • There's a change.org petition to allow open carry at the Republican National convention.

That is some top level trolling right there.

  • more fuckwitted, intellectually vapid anti-cycling tantrumalism, this time from foghorn-voiced never-was janet street porter, in the independent. if any of you get abuse on the roads in the coming days, you know who to thank.

copy-pasta'd here to avoid giving the plank-toothed cunt a penny if you cba.

  • Janet Street Porter really is a noisy old windbag isn't she? Poor Normski.

  • So, never mind the economic cleansing, the garden bridge, the boris island airport or countless other ills and political fripperies conceived by BoJo, people riding their bikes is ruining London.

    What a cunt.

  • Normski is a cunt, deserves what he gets.

Years ago he spiked my then girlfriends drink. Fucking out of order, especially as it kicked in while she was driving us home, and she nearly passed out.

  • That really is a painful read.

  • Just reading up on NUT stuff today. If the Tories try to force through the trade union bill (after defeats by the lords last week), teachers vote to strike, and Hunt continues with his plans with junior doctors, we could be in for interesting times. I'm not sure a general strike is inconceivable.

  • I'm up for it, those rusty chains will have to wait.

  • join a union.

  • The European one?

  • general strike

I've seen a poster call for one already on soshul meeja, it had a date but can't find the posts now.

  • July 4th I think.

  • Monday, got schools in prepping for racing, unless the teachers strike.

  • Laugh at all news so that your partner will bring you off orally before you die

  • Let’s go down on boogie city rumble the shooting and so begins the fuck or die.
