as with all punctures, its a certain amount of luck...a rider out on my club run had a G+ one blow out through the sidewall the other day. Maybe just a feak occurence but 2 riders i know have had a few puctures on the clincher versions (not pinch flats) so i think the answer is that it doesnt really protect a significant amount more to justify the claims. . Ive always found vittoria valve cores quite reliable , i ran vittoria olypionico with a plastic extension and the core in its original position left open. That tub must be around 10-15 years old and i hardly ever had to pump it up and was finally retired due to perishing tread.

Do you know if the valve core is removable so that you can add sealant? I haven't heard good things about Vittoria's pitstop..
Thinking of going tubular and just wanted to see what people's thoughts were on them...
Are they that much more puncture resistant?
Is the valve core removable? I know Vittoria tubs haven't been in the past.
Are they worth the $$$?
