• hello all

i have these old campag bits for sale. was keeping them for the vintage road build but decided that vintage track build is enough and i should be updating the bikes i'll be using.

now, i don't know much about these bits (i read through velobase and some forums, but i'm not the expert who tells you what changed between catalog no 17a and 18...) so i might not be able to answer the purist's questions..

think of this as a shifting mini-group with brakes that need a bit of work done. the mechs work fine, springs are strong, bolts are all original. however they are not the bits for a restoration - they most likely worked through the last 30 years and are recommended for a bike that will likely get ridden.

    • super record front derailleur. no markings on it (only brev campagnolo on the back of the cage and the logo in the front). has the letter 'M' embossed on the black swing arm. it is in fairly good nick.

    • super record rear derailleur. pat. 82. a good honest working rear mech - has quite a few scuffs and scratches, the pulleys are worn but hey.. it contains titanium!

    • campagnolo shifters. these are the bits that i did not find any solid info on. could be super record, nuovo record, gran sport.. who knows. i assume they are some kind of earlier generation as they have vincenza italy embossed on them. all the bits are present bar a little spring washer that goes under the fixing screw on one side. this is non campag specific, should be available on every corner.

    • super record brakes. now.. both brakes are missing parts - barrel adjusters and brake blocks, but the front is more complete. the rear has a non original dome nut and washers between the alloy parts. it is also missing the cable clamping plate and the cable clamp screws are generic allen ones. springs and release mechanism is perfect on both - looking through ebay all the parts should be available to complete the set.

i don't know how much these are worth in this state but seeing the prices on ebay i'd say £100 plus postage (£10 from hungary) is reasonable.

  • or trade for a set of integralters...........
