just got to Mallorca, bike assembled. this however does look weird.. too much space for wavey washer? or am inoverthinking
-
• #4580
I can't comment on the washer but... did you remove your cranks for packing your bike up?
-
• #4581
Nope that's how its supposed to be. As long as it's torqued to spec and there's no horizontal play it's all good.
-
• #4582
nope. was assembled by a professional two weeks ago and only 1 55mile ride since then, just assumed it would be fine. doesn't seem like any play so guess it's ok...! haven't even got an Allen big enough if shit hits the fan stupidly. what size do I need? Can try pick one up

What makes you think there is something wrong with it?

My Lefty cracked - seems as if there is no chance for repairs or getting the complete sparepart.
Anyone lying something around (Lefty Carbon XLR) for Large sized Flash Team 29 from 2014?
Dunno if i can replace for another fork than lefty - Forkheight ? If i do not get any decent solution.
Thanks for your help !

if it's aluminium ( I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT LEFTIES ) surely you could just sand the paint away and get a nice man with a mig welding set to put some new metal in the hole?

surely you could just sand the paint away and get a nice man with a TIG welding set to put some new metal in the hole?
FTFY
But yeah, it's quite a small area, could be Tig'd by someone with the right skills

Ohh could you pm me some pics/dets when you get the chance

Should do. I tried some 22mm Bontys and Stan's shod with the Biancas, and it all clears fine. Saying that though, relative to how stiff the wheels are. Flexy ones will likely rub on forks some.

Done a few camping/riding trips away on the Trigger now. Has taken a bit of getting used to but, its a lot of fun. Here he is with his new mates, the grass trees.
Next step: Get more cables on the front.

Eastern states?

Forrest in Victoria! Tiny little town with a campsite, brewery, and a shit load of trails.
-

That looks amazing. I'll have to fly over with my little FS XC bike for a long weekend. I'm in Perth...although cost-wise it'll be cheaper boxing my bike up and flying to Indonesia for a weekend of trails!

• #4598
Does Indo have good trails? It's well worth doing a bit of a tour around Victoria. You Yangs, Mt. Buller, Bright, Wombat and Buxton are all a shit load of fun!
-
• #4599
Not sure, I need to do a bit of research on it. When tickets for below $150-200 return pop up every now and then it's pretty tempting!

Who have you spoken to about repairs / replacement?
Boom, get em! I really like my set and have had no issues. stickers come off easily too.
