It would be wrong to suggest that an entire community is responsible, it's more a question of an atmosphere of resentment where the vulnerable and weak minded can be recruited. You're right to say that the intention of this attack is partly to cause more tension, more isolation of the Muslim population and thus the cycle continues. I hope the Belgian authorities realise this and don't respond in too heavy handed a way. Obviously I also hope they catch them.

From an outsider point of view, and the fact that Brussels is already a very cosmopolitan and sometimes disjointed place, I hope it can avoid the intended destabalisation and group together rather than reaching for the pitchforks. Nuts.
