  • can anyone help. possibility of moving to Hong Kong, looking to get rental place out there Kowloon side but i have no idea of areas, good bad cheap or expensive, can anyone point me in the right direction. visited along time ago but only for holiday.

  • I'm an 'islander' unfortunately.. Personally would love to live on the western end of the island.. Where they've extended the metro line to HKU.. Might be affordable if renting
On the other side of the harbour a lot of my friends with families now have moved to Hang Hau etc (eastern end of the green line) because its more affordable.. If you like countryside that's also a stone's throw from Sai Kung.
Around Olympic Station could be good.. Used to be a queiter area right next to MongKok but now getting a bit hip but also being redeveloped a lot at the same time

  • Thanks for the replys its great info - looks 80% to be happening and my better half is now thinking the island may be the way to go ! We have family in Kowloon Tong and work is going to be near ocean park, I may have more questions to come but ill try not to bore you too much !
