Really not feeling those graphics colours so nice though. For me its Rock Shox or Dvo when it comes to looks. Not many things I wouldnt do for some diamond forks!

Thats a bike frame.
Scource: Seen a few in my time. -
• #8181
Dunno. Looks burly. Wouldn't bother with unidentied unquantifiable 26" full sus frames even at £5
-
• #8182
Looks a bit like an older Trek Fuel.
-
• #8183
Funnily enough that was my first thought.
-
• #8184
Head angle looks pretty steep on that unknown full sus, if you can built it up without any real expense then it might make a decent project, but wouldn't spend any cash on it.

I was thinking an old Turner- it's got a horst link, hasn't it?
-
• #8186
I was watching an old Turner on Ebay that looke very similar to that. Including the seat tube gusset.

Good shout

• #8188
First thought was a Turner too, maybe one of those.
Or Carrera Banshee but think the lower shock mount and rocker arm are wrong for that.

Who uses swept back bars on their HT or XC FS for long distance riding/longer races? I was looking at these , not the lightest by XC standards but are rated to AM use and so should be the best of both worlds if I want a swept light bar and also strap a handlebar bag to it.
For some reason I haven't seen many swept bars on FS rigs, maybe because no one tours on them.

Had Mary bars on my Inbred bikepacker for years, with mini Ergon bar-ends, loved them. Mary's look narrower than those, and have greater sweep. I'd assume being wider those bars are probably better suited to more modern slack geo.
I'd actually be tempted by those bars for my Krampus, but for the price!
-

The price is ridic, I agree. Probably justified by carbon and niche product.
I don't know if I can find anything else to compare in Australia...I doubt these would have resale value either, may have to take a hit and see what they're like.
-
• #8192
Resale value, I know what you mean... it's is the bane of anything remotely 'alternative' here in NZ. Try re-selling anything other than a full-sus Avanti and you're pretty much guaranteed to lose a huge amount.
Moving back to the UK next week though. Haven't been there for 4 years. Hope I haven't been spoiled by the trails here...

I use Jones bars on my spearfish....I much prefer the more natural wrist position....I can't use a straight bar now.

I went to Cannock Chase forest last week and very much enjoyed it, but it was a bit shaky and challenging on my old skool rigid bike.
No one there was on a fat bike, only full suspension. Why's that? I want a fat bike and I think it would be perfect for soaking up the little rocks, but I don't want to make a mistake and/or get lold at for being a fashion victim.
-
• #8195
I've seen quite a few people on fat bikes at cannock chase, its a great loop, I always stop off there for a blast when travelling between Manchester and London.

I have a pretty tricked out fatbike. It isnt even that Heavy. I designed it With trail geometry and it has 110mm of front suspension.
But I'm still putting together a full sus.
Fatbikes are all about max traction, minimal speed. Great for mile munching. But a FS is going to be more fun to throw around a twisty trail. Although a lot of the descents up here are basically mountain streams full of rocks. My fat bike seems to really work on these.

Has anyone ridden a bird aeris, I'm thinking of buying one in a couple of months, either that or a heckler.
-
• #8198
Rode one of these at the weekend. Great all round fat(ter) bike.

Cannock has a very firm immobile surface, so grip isn't normally a problem. FS would smooth out he embedded pebbles better than undamped tyrebounce.

At the right PSI there wouldnt be much tyre Bounce. 4.8" tyres really absorb the little bumps and grip like mad. But when you put the Power Down, a shock system starts to show its intellegence over a soft tyre.
It's 27.5... but still. WOW.
