I simply wouldn't risk posting such an exquisite timepiece.
Heard too many horror stories.

Bit late to the party but the new Tudors are lovely, Tudor Heritage Black Bay Dark and Tudor Heritage Black Bay 36 are corkers.

Tudor is 32mm. It's model 72000. I will need to fish out the service paper to get the actual service date, but it's running well anyway. I have received a lot of PMs, so will respond to messages in order of posting (both thread posts and PM posts).

Apparently sources in Basel at Tudor are predicting the Black Bay Black ETA is going to be very collectable due to the rarity as only available for a short time ( less than 4 months ) and now out of production . Some uk stockists never recieved their orders before it was discontinued .

So I've been wearing a Casio F91W for three years. Not for any reason other than it's cheap and tough. Now here in NZ you can get away with mountain-biking shorts at business meetings, fleece from the fishing shop in a restaurant etc. My partner has told me since we are moving back to the UK that I need to smarten up a bit. She's already thrown out the fleece.
So I need a watch. One that's affordable and reliable but presentable. The VW Passat of watches, rather than the Subaru Brumby I've currently got (did you have to google that?)
I quite like those Swatch Rebels but every Swatch I've owned has broken within a year. I also had a Timex Expedition (analogue) but that broke after a year, too. I had a Seamaster DeVille but it was too spendy/delicate to wear at work (I'm a product designer so I am in the workshop a lot).
I don't want anything big or flashy or more than a hundred quid. It must be robust and reliable.
I am interested in a Seiko 5 of some variety, but are they reliable? And are there any alternatives?

I've got a fantastic Omega I could probably let you have...

Some form of Seiko sounds like the obvious choice, they're pretty reliable. Creation Watches always have plenty at a decent price http://www.creationwatches.com/products/seiko-automatic-watches-69/index-2-3a.html?currency=GBP

I wore it about half a dozen times prior to it being commandeered by the missus.
Beautiful watch though.

Tudor is currently on hold pending funds from Joe. I guess if he ever decides to sell it then he could pass it on to another forum member.
I shall post photos of this other watch deal I'm getting involved with on Monday. Getting the train up to Manchester to view. Just hope I don't get kneecapped.
