Downloaded project cars yesterday just to derp around on Nodschleife.
Was promptly slapped in the face repeatedly from the start. Fuck me it's hard to play with a dual shock. It's definitely designed with wheels in mind but that's not going to happen.
After an hour, I've managed to do semi-clean laps going pretty slowly. Certainly an improvement from going backwards in to the barriers after every corner.
I dont remember gran turismo having this much of a learning curve but the physics feel more realistic. You just have to turn the steering and accelerator sensitivity way down.
I really like being able to drive everything anywhere from the get go. No stupid progression stuff or in-app purchases. It's just all there to play with from the start.
There's a setting window in the main menu and you can access the controls in there. Set steering sensitivity to 0 and steering dead zone to 10, suddenly it's playable.
